A New Bible and a New Camera
Today I added two new things to my life. One of them is a new Bible. I ordered a Thompson Chain Reference Bible last week and it came in today. For the last ten years or so I have spent most of my time reading the Bible on my computer. Recently, however, I have been wanting a new Bible to actually sit down with and read. This Bible is very similar to the first “good” Bible I ever bought twenty-five years ago. The font is a little bigger, but it is bringing back those memories of how I loved to read the Word when I first got saved. It is not that I don’t still love to read the Word, it is just different now. I guess I am hoping that this new Bible might help recapture some of that first love Bible reading.
I opened the Bible today and there was the Book of Haggai and I just began to read. At the end of the second chapter there is a great verse that I thought I would share with you:
Haggai 2:19 (New International Version)
19 Is there yet any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree have not borne fruit. ” ‘From this day on I will bless you.’ “
From this day on I will bless you. That is a great verse!
I also bot a new web cam today. I went in to the store to get a few office supplies and they had this HD web cam on sale, and I bought it. It seems to be significantly better than the web cam I was using, so I am including below the first video I made on the new web cam with the new software it came with. I hope to post a lot of small videos on A Jesus Moment so this camera might be just right for the job. Maybe the camera being on sale was the first of the “I will bless you’s” in the verse I shared with you.
