Bible Reading 2 Kings 4 – 6

Today’s Bible reading on A Jesus Moment is 2 Kings 4 through 6. These chapters record some very interesting aspects of Elisha’s ministry. The multiplication of oil (that would be handy today if it worked with gasoline), the restoring of life to the Shunammite’s son, the feeding of a hundred (not as cool as the feeding of the five thousand, but still pretty cool), the healing of Naaman, and the floating axehead. My favorite verse however is this one:

2 Kings 6:16 (New International Version)
16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

That is worth thinking about and remembering!
