Bible Reading Genesis 7 – 10

• January 3, 2010 • Comments (0)

Today’s reading is Genesis 7 through 10 (for a list of the Bible Reading for the year check out the right hand side of the Jesus Moment site). These chapters are about Noah and his family and the flood. A flood that covers the earth is hard for a lot of people to imagine. I have spent some time researching this event over the years and there is some fascinating information available on the Internet about the flood. Here is a link to an article that you might find interesting:

This link is from the Institute for Creation Research which has a lot of great information on science as it relates to creation.

Today I am going to selfishly ponder this verse:

Genesis 9:3 (New International Version)

3 Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

I said selfishly because I really enjoy a good steak every now and again, in fact I am going to grill some up here in a few minutes. Not that a salad isn’t a good thing, I am just happy its not the main thing.
