Bible Reading Jeremiah 7 – 9

Today we will be reading Jeremiah chapters 7 through 9. The people of Israel have turned their back on God and are worshiping false gods, and yet they are trying to keep their feet in both camps so to speak. God has told them what they need to do:

Jeremiah 7:23 (New International Version)
23 but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you.

But they choose not to do it. Jeremiah says in chapter 9:4 that the problem is their stubborn hearts. Let us make sure that our stubborn hearts do not keep us from following the Lord and walking in His ways.
