Today’s Bible reading, found on the right side of the Jesus Moment site, is Joshua 17 through 21. These chapters contain descriptions of the allotment of the promised land to the people of Israel. I must admit that it is not the most exciting reading. I have to work really hard to not just skim the entire reading. There are some interesting things in the chapters. In chapter 20 when it talks about the cities of refuge is quite a concept. If you killed someone on accident, you could go to a city of refuge and be safe from the avenger of blood. The verse that I am going to think about today comes from the very end of the reading in chapter 21.

Joshua 21:45 (New International Version)

45 Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.

I read that verse and I think about the amazing faithfulness of God. Every one of God’s good promises was fulfilled, and all his good promises to us will be fulfilled as well.
