One of Those Days

I have had one of those days. Don’t get me wrong, there was some good moments, even a Jesus moment or two, but overall it was a frustrating day. On the plus side, my new grandson Sam, laughed and cooed more today than I had ever heard him before. At three months old now, he is really something. There is something so amazing about a babies laughter. It was the highlight of my day. I also had some good interactions with both of my children and had a few good phone calls.

But it seemed like a lot of things were frustrating today. I had several things that I tried to do that just wouldn’t work. I have been trying to upload the same three or four sermon videos for the last two days and they just won’t work. I can’t tell if the problem is on my end or on the ultimate destination of he video files. I spent over an hour trying to retrieve email from a new email address and it should have only taken a couple of minutes. I have been wanting to sit down and write a blog post for this site for the last two days, and just haven’t had the time. So, rather than just go to bed and get this day behind me, I decided the best thing to do was to sit down with my Bible, and try and have a Jesus moment. I did something that I don’t normally do, I just opened the Bible and pointed my finger at a verse. The verse I was pointing at really helped me get my perspective right. Here was the verse:

Ecclesiastes 4:2
God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.

So, rather than complain, I decided to keep it simple with these few words:

Jesus, I am so in love with You.
