Morning Reflection – June 1 2012

Here at a Jesus Moment we want to encourage you to be thankful and blessed. I want to encourage you to spend this day remembering the faithfulness of God. Jesus has come that we might have a full and abundant life. We have a very real enemy who would like to make you think the opposite, because he wants to steal away your life. So, as the writer of Hebrews says in Hebrews 10:23, “let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful”. Hold on unswervingly today, and have a blessed day in Him!

We are including for you below our Disciple’s Heart Primer that you can use as a devotional each day to help you get your heart primed to follow Jesus.

Get Dressed - Put on the full armor of God! (Read the verses from Ephesians 6:12-18 and then enter what ever current spiritual / relational / emotional battles you are facing in the box below)...

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Get Encouraging - Who can you encourage today? (Read the verses from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a and then list some people to encourage, bless, and pray for today)...

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.
