Time for A Jesus Moment

• February 20, 2010 • Comments (0)

I started blogging in January of 2008.  The reason I decided to start blogging was that I felt like writing.  I was looking for a vehicle to begin getting disciplined in writing on a regular basis and then ultimately starting to work on a book.  I ordered a couple of “how to blog” books and did some research online about blogging and started my first blog.  Somewhere along the way, I started thinking that maybe there was an opportunity to make a little extra income and I began pursuing those options,  The reality is, you can make some extra income blogging if you spend enough time doing it, but what ended up happening was that instead of pursuing my passion for writing I was suddenly spending all my time in trying to maintain a blogging business.

I have learned a lot about the mechanics of blogging, I have helped quite a few churches get web ministries started, I have helped several businesses get their online act together, and along the way I have made a few dollars.  However, after much prayer in these first weeks of 2010, I have decided to cut way back and get focused on what I originally felt called to do.  That is what I hope that this blog, “A Jesus Moment” will be.  It is my hope to take all that I have learned about the mechanics of blogging and now combine it with my passion to write for and about the Lord.

Rather than get this site all souped up initially, I am just going to get in the habit of writing.  Over time I will add the bells and whistles and all the other little touches to make this as good an Internet experience as I know how, but for now I am just going to write.  I hope that this site will be an encouragement to you and that over time you will come to visit regularly and hopefully share your own Jesus moments with all those who manage to find their way to “A Jesus Moment
